I happen to accidentally hit a website called Yauba with multiple extension domains such as www.yauba.com www.yauba.co.in www.yauba.co.uk and many more links i suppose though i just happen to click these three. Reason why I am posting this is that I liked this concept which is coming from India as the makers of Yauba are Indians.

I somehow liked this search engine though being very frank I don’t really like any search engines so quickly not as if I am some Google’s loyal fan but its just that I am so much use to google now so much that I find some other search engine difficult for myself to adjust. not my fault but its all because of the convenience Firefox provided me.

But as i reached Yauba my first impression was “ok this seems to be a nice lite web site, good for a search engine”. After i made some random search on it and tried to do some black box on this yauba I must admit it was very impressive with its search results. I was like “Oh yeah this is what was missing in google and I always wanted it”. It gave all the results in category wise format, separating results of images, news, videos, as well as giving the user to limit its search. Like i remember many times i am just looking for some document or PDF files and thus have to make specific extensions and hit n trial on google when I have to write a research paper or anything like that.

I have read on some article saying it is a Google Killer. But what I would say is making such a big statement would be over hype about the startup. No doubts the concept used by these Indian developers is extraordinary, going through all the limits as well as the flaws of google and trying to make it strength. This is the approach that needs to be taken, if you want to make it big don’t just follow the biggies blindly on the same track but study them and see where you can do overcome their limits and make it your power. The ingenious solutions of those issues which google was unable to perform properly is picked up by Yauba.

Let me talk about my views and exploration os Yauba. First of all the what I liked about this search engine and as they claim is that they will only target Indian community and Indian users & they will stick on this statement. Which was kinda patriotic and since I am Indian myself so it felt very nice to me. Coming onto the point, one of the biggest strength of Yauba would be its privacy claims. From the recent facebook controversy regarding its privacy policies so Yauba will surely get appreciation as it claims “The World’s First Privacy Safe Search Engine” so this is very good news for people who had some issues with privacy policies of different websites as well as Google who’s had some policy issues too in fast. Yauba has picked up things which might not make a big difference to you or anyone but when you think about it or use the feature it certainly will make your searching more convenient than before.

I am really excited about this website launching since its on Beta only though the Alexa of Yauba isn’t the greatest infact below myself but I have full faith that this new concept will catch up very soon. Don’t forget they are targeting one of the biggest traffic over the internet INDIANS last time any website which made a mark on Indian’s did make a big mark, don’t forget ORKUT Alexa ranking of orkut sat on the car of Batman & just Zooomed over many competitors like hi5 and friendster.

I would suggest all you guys to give Yauba a try and be a part of this soon to be a big search engine player, considering the fact that they keep up the hard work and make the improvements from its Beta version to official launch.

But as an young Indian who is eagerly anticipating a new era of great entrepreneurial Indian companies, I can’t think of a better example right now of such an era than Yauba. And I cannot wait for the official release, this is one of those products which has the capability to start with a bang but lets hope it will also get some support from other Indian entrepreneurs, bloggers and certainly users.
